I documented the historic site of Tulúm which was built in 1200 AD towards the end of the Mayan civilization. Tulúm is known for its flat-roofed architectural buildings, its gridded streets, and high fortified walls. Even today, entrance to the ruins is as high as in ancient times. I've concentrated on documenting the site in relation to its current conditions. It's not my intent to monumentalize the site's past but rather to acknowledge its balanced state of existence.
